I am the lead pastor at Coast Community and have served in that role for 21 years. We've got a great history, but what I'm most excited about is what God is doing NOW in our church and community.

These are meaningful days at Coast Community. Again and again I'm reminded in various ways of what a blessing it is to be a part of a local community of faith like ours where people are welcome to be their true self and to find healing and hope in Christ.  We are a group of people who are learning to lean into the suffering and brokenness that is so prevalent in our world, discovering that God's grace is sufficient. Life doesn't stop on Sundays, but as we gather to sing and pray and hear from God's Word, we are assured of God's love, and that a life of joy and wholeness is still possible. Come and join us anytime!

What do you most enjoy about Coast Community?

I most enjoy most the people - diverse, compassionate, faithful friends in Christ.

What things do you like to do in your free time?

My main hobby is spending time with my family, so I like to do whatever they're doing (going to games, watching movies, eating good food, etc.).  The last few years I've also had the opportunity to coach basketball at San Marcos HS and that seems to take up most of my remaining free time.

Share a bit about your family.

I've been married to Kyla for 25 years now, and we have two great kids, Cady is 17 and a senior at San Marcos and Thomas is 15 and a sophomore at San Marcos.  Our family is definitely a team in ministry, and it is a privilege to serve alongside these amazing people.
